I love making jewellery of all kinds. Scrabble and Lego jewellery have been popular for a while but now the 50 Shades of Grey range and the Zingy Blobs are selling well too. I make everything from unique gemstone necklace sets to phone charms.
I love making tiaras and bridal jewellery and offer a bespoke service.
Cufflinks are very much back in fashion and I have a large selection and am always making more.
Pop over to the Jude's Jewels website and have a look.
Hi there, Looking out my window
today I can see blue sky and white clouds, what a difference from last week.
What a difference a bit of sunshine makes. I've been very busy
developing the 50
Shades of Grey range and have added a new loaded sharm bracelet, a newer
version of the Laters Baby bracelet and a couple of new pairs of earrings as
well. I've just ordered even more 50 Shades charms so will be making super loaded bracelets for the weekend.
I've added the Dorothy
of Oz earrings to the website so have a look. The Blob
family is getting bigger all the time and has been phenomenally popular at
both the Argyle St and Sloans markets in
Glasgow. I've added the TOWIE
style word bracelets to the website in 2 sizes, and there is now a custom
option as well. I've just updated the wellie earring photos, much better now.
I'd better go and get
back to work now as there are a pile of orders to get made up and dispatched
today. Take care
everyone. Jude. http://www.judesjewels.co.uk
It's been a few months
since I managed to do my Blog, so apologies for the gap. I have been kept very
busy making stock for markets and website sales, working up to 20 hours a day,
so I've just not had the time to Blog.
So what's new ? Well
I now have a great range of 50
Shades of Grey jewellery, and a whole family of Zingy
Blobs. Both are proving to be really popular at the markets and online, so
I'm delighted. Both ranges are being added to all the time, as I keep coming up
with new ideas.
I'm just about to
start on a new range of suncatchers with fused glass sunflowers and faceted
crystal rondelles. I am ever hopeful that the sun will appear sometime this
summer. I'll also be adding a selection of one of a kind fused glass pendants
to the stall and website as well.
We are still taking
part in Scottish Farmers Markets including our localmarkets at Stirling and Falkirk. We are also going to two markets
in Glasgow every week. The Argyle Street Indoor Market on Thursday
and friday, and Sloans Market on Saturday and Sunday.
These are quite different markets but we are enjoying taking part in both.
I hope you like all
the new items, I'm having fun designing and making them. Take care
everyone. Jude

Thought I'd do a quick Blog to tell you about the things I'm making with a new product called Crystal
Clay.
The clay comes in 2
parts, colour and epoxy resin, which you kneed together in equal quantities to
make a smooth piece of clay. It's very sticky and can be moulded into lots of
shapes and used to fill jewellery findings such as rings and pendants.
You then
carefully press Swarovski crystal chatons or whatever else you want to use, into
the clay using a tool with a wax end. You can also add microbeads, and can also
brush on metallic powders to give a burnished sheen.
I've made a few items
using silver and black clay and am about to make a new set using red
clay. It's really great fun
to use and quite addictive. I'm really loving the results so
far.
Goodness, it's been a
while since I did a bit of Blogging. Unfortunately a muscle in my
back went into spasm about 4 weeks ago, so I've been unable to do quite as much
as usual. I'm getting physio but there is little improvement as yet. I'm
getting really frustrated as I can't get to circuit training or out for a run.
I just have to learn to be patient.
However, I have managed to
keep quite busy making new stock, getting orders made and dispatched, and going
out to some markets. But no excuse, I should have made time to Blog as
well.
I've added a lot of new
items to the website, so please go and have a look. These is a section with Easter
gift ideas, and I've also got a new section with jewellery I think will be
good to wear in the Summer. I'll
be adding quite a few more items to this caterogy in the next week or so, so
look out for partiotic bracelets, rings and earrings coming very
soon.
Last week I made and
listed some beautiful acrylic
butterfly pieces, some amazing dog
head earrings, a selection of Tintin
earrings and this week I've added some Muppet
character earrings and also Hunger Games earrings
and a matching pendant.
I've had lots of lovely
new Guestbook feedback from happy customers, so have
a read.
Nick and I will be back at
the Atrium Traders Market at Stirling
University tomorrow, Paisley Farmers Market on Saturday and Sloans Market, Glasgow on Sunday, so it's
all go as usual at JJHQ. Hope you are all enjoying
the sunny weather. Enjoy the rest of your
week. Jude.
I've had a busy day making and
dispatching orders, and getting started on some new Steampunk jewellery. I got a lot of vintage watches delivered this morning, so I've been trying out a few new designs. Earrings, a pendant and a couple of rings.
Tie tacks and a few other things will follow. Once I've stripped the watches
down to just the movement, I added a few Swarovski crystals then added the
fixings to finish the pieces. I'm very pleased with the results so
far.
I
know you're asking... what is Steampunk? Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and
speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980’s and early 1990’s.
The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely
used, usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England, but with
prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional
technological inventions like those found in the works of H.G. Wells and Jules
Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an
earlier date. So it’s like taking modern technology and representing it with
gears and moving parts instead of electronics.
Just about to list a curly wurly pendant and matching earrings
and a few other sweetie and biscuit items.
I got a load of old typewriter
keys yesterday so most letters are back in stock for the rings. I'm just about to use my
Sushezi machine for the first time to make my very own real Sushi, to eat, not
for making into jewellery. Hope it turns out all right. Have a good evening.
Take care.
Jude.
Hello
everyone, I hope you are all having
a wonderful Valentine's Day. It's been a while since I last had time to Blog,
but I'm back now and ready to get chatty again.
I've just had a little
holiday to re-charge my batteries after the Christmas order rush. I've got lots of new ideas and am raring
to get started on some new jewellery, so keep watching
for all the new listings on the Jude's Jewels website.
I'm just about to list a
lot of new Sweet and Biscuit items, as soon as I get everything finished off.
Also got a lot of new rings to add. I've already listed quite a few Easter goodies, but there are more to come.
Also in the pipeline is a
new section of Laser Cut Acrylic items with a fun, Scottish
slant.
I've just launched a new
Competition as I now have over 2800 Facebook fans so, for your chance to win one
of four prizes, pop over to the Competition Page now. And, if you have not
already done so, please like my Facebook page via the link at the bottom left
hand side of most website pages.
So have a very happy
Valentine's Day, and I'll be back very soon with some new
jewellery.
Hello
everyone, I have to apologise for
the lack of Blogging, but I've been so busy making and dispatching website
orders and going to markets that I've not had time to Blog at
all.
It's been a very hectic
couple of months and the past 30 days have just been a blur. 1200 items were
ordered on the website alone. To make sure all the orders went out on time, I've
been working almost 20 hours a day and got really tired at the weekend. So much
so that at 3am on Sunday morning I decided I could not manage to go to one of
the markets scheduled for that day. I hate to disappoint customers but I was
just way to tired to drive never mind setting up a stall and running it all
day.
Today, things are slowing
down so I think the main Christmas rush is now over. I've still got orders
coming in, but I'm able to make and dispatch most onthe same
day. Over the past few months
I've been adding lots of items to the website and stall stock. Most popular has
been the Acrylic pendants, but the Steampunk cufflinks are proving very popular too. The Christmas jewellery page has been very busy as well and I've tried to add lots of new
items.
2 weeks ago I launched a
range of new sweetie smothered gel covers
for the iPhone 4. Very soon I'll have the same covers available for the iPod
4 as well. In the New year I will be expanding the range and offering a custom
design service.
The
Scrabble and Lego jewellery is still selling very well, and I now have almost 400 sets of
Scrabble in the house !!
I want to wish you all a
very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes. I also want to say
thank you for all your support and custom over past year. Have a wonderful
time. Jude
